ATCDC ANNOUNCES INTENT TO EXPAND OPERATIONS TO A NEW LOCATION

Today, we are excited to announce our first major data center expansion. As a growing tech and industrial hub, Ashland Kentucky continues to provide the greatest base of operations for our business to grow within. We are currently surveying a series of site locations between Greenup and Boyd Counties, located in the Eastern Kentucky Plateau along the Tri-state boarder. The locations we are currently assessing are all shovel-ready which will allow us to break ground once our anchor tenants are contracted. Keeping within the local region provides us with reliable access to renewable energy, a strong local infrastructure backed by amazing partners within the local government, a great set of community partners who continue to service both ours and other expanding operations in the area, and most importantly, an outstanding pool of talent that we intend to utilize to the fullest capacity.

The new campus is expected to provide a fully expanded allocation of 1,250,000 square feet of data center white space across 6 secured units. 750,000 available square feet are expected to provide tier III commercial storage while the remaining 500,000 square feet is intended to provide tier IV+ ultra-security infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients that require more redundancy, onsite security, and storage longevity beyond that of the regular clientele. In addition to the data storage locations, the new campus will host an 80,000 square foot technology center which will provide access to a secured location to conduct technology based research and development as well as access to super-computing capabilities for expanded technological research. It is through this concerted effort that we hope to continue to grow and develop the local economy and bring additional high paying technology jobs to the region. Once the new campus becomes operational, it will help us continue to provide sustainable economic growth for people here in Eastern Kentucky as well as provide security and advancements for people around the world.

Our global impact is important to us as well as our commitment to having a positive impact on this community. Data centers are real economic engines that boast significant growth in local economies which extend beyond the four corners of our campus. We are proud to state that recent studies found that for every 1 million dollars in operating expenses at a data center location, there are 13 high-paid jobs supported in the economy. For every 1 million dollars in capital expenditures, there are more than 18 jobs supported in the local economy.

ATCDC is also a steward of the environment and is committed to powering our data centers and campus’ with 100% clean and renewable energy. We have and continue to work with American Electric Power to establish a renewable energy grid which will allow not only ATCDC to benefit but other emerging organizations in our area, such as Braidy Industries, the ability to benefit from these greenhouse programs as well.

Over the coming years, we will continue to work on the foundational technologies needed to make the world a safer and secure place to live– and our new campus will play a critical role in accomplishing that.
