ATCDC Meets with AEP

Today members of ATCDC met with AEP on-site to conduct the premilinary evaluations for bringing the required energy to the hilltop location. AEP is one of the largest electric utilities in the U.S., serving nearly 5.4 million customers in 11 states and provides approximately 32,000 megawatts of generating capacity.

Based on the on-site evaluations the facility location will be able to connect with dual redundant power grids from two seperate power plants. The anticipated load expectancy is being reviewed but is estimated to be around 3 mW of initial load with expandability beyond for additional phases of growth. The power store is expected to be provided via two sub-stations, one on-site as primary, and a second near the property as a redundant back-up.

Based on the evaluations, AEP and ATCDC is looking at costs per kWh which can be offered to ATCDC's customers within the $0.75 - $0.85 range.
